Jr. Data Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our data and analytics team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and infrastructure that support key business functions and decision-making processes. You will work with large datasets, integrate diverse data sources, and ensure data accuracy, availability, and security across our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Develop and optimize data models, warehouse structures, and database schemas.
• Write robust SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets.
• Manage workflow orchestration using tools like Apache Airflow or Dagster.
• Integrate data from diverse sources, including REST APIs and big data platforms.
• Work with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) to build cloud-native data solutions.
• Apply best practices in data governance, quality, and security.
• Collaborate closely with data analysts, data scientists, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Utilize containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes for deployment and scalability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or any related course.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a data engineering or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with big data technologies like Apache Spark or Hadoop.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficient in data modeling, database design, and data warehousing.
• Experience with ETL orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Dagster).
• Integration experience using REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and container-based deployment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Collaborative team player who can work across internal teams and external consultants.
• Certifications (Nice to Have): Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Data Analytics, GCP Data Engineer, etc.); Data engineering or software development certifications.
