We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Inventory Control Officer to join our team and help us manage our inventory processes efficiently.

Job Summary:

The Inventory Control Officer is responsible for leading the day-to-day activities in stock and inventory management. This includes monitoring inventory levels, analyzing inventory movements, preventing out-of-stock situations, managing expiry dates, and optimizing stock levels. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inventory Management:

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock without overstocking.
  • Manage safety stock levels to prevent stock-outs.

• Supplier Coordination:

  • Work with suppliers to manage lead times, order quantities, and delivery schedules.

• Order Management:

  • Plan and execute purchase orders in alignment with demand forecasts and inventory policies.

• Supply Chain Optimization:

  • Identify and implement improvements in supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

• Data Analysis:

  • Use various data sources and analytical tools to make informed decisions and predict inventory needs.

• Collaboration:

  • Communicate and collaborate with other departments, including procurement, sales, and logistics, to ensure smooth supply chain operations.

• Performance Metrics:

  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the supply chain.
  • Take corrective actions as needed to ensure KPIs are met (e.g., Demand Forecast Accuracy, Fill Rate, Overstock, Critical Stock, and Out-of-Stock).

• Risk Mitigation:

  • Identify potential supply chain risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

• Reporting:

  • Prepare and present reports on inventory status, forecast accuracy, and other supply chain performance metrics.

Qualifications:

• A degree in BS Math or Industrial Engineering.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in logistics and warehousing functions.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledgeable in SAP, WMS, and Exceed systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and data-driven decision-making abilities.
