As we continue to scale our impact, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Financial Reporting Specialist to join our Finance team. This is a key role that will drive both day-to-day financial operations and long-term strategic initiatives.
Job Summary:
The Financial Reporting Specialist is responsible for overseeing the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of the company’s financial records, tax obligations, and reporting processes. This role ensures timely month-end closings, supervises general ledger maintenance, drives process improvements, and supports audits and compliance requirements.
You will lead a team in managing core accounting functions—including GL accounts, taxes, reconciliations, and reporting—while mentoring associates, resolving escalated issues, and ensuring operational efficiency in line with accounting standards and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger Management & Financial Close:
- Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of general ledger accounts, including monthly schedules, reconciliations, and closing adjustments.
- Analyze transaction-level details to ensure correct postings in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
- Prepare journal entries, update account balances, and ensure proper documentation and backup for all financial records.
- Supervise posting and clearing of goods and invoice receipts.
- Reconcile fixed assets lapsing schedules and depreciation monthly.
Taxation & Compliance:
- Prepare and file monthly/quarterly tax returns and required attachments.
- Ensure timely payment of all filed taxes and permit assessments.
- Review BIR Form 2307 reimbursements and facilitate compliance with BIR and SEC annual reporting requirements.
- Conduct valuations for inventory destruction and liaise with government agencies as necessary.
Reporting & Process Improvement:
- Compile, monitor, and audit financial statements for accuracy and integrity.
- Support the accounting team during month-end close through reporting, reconciliations, and analysis.
- Communicate closing issues to leadership and recommend improvements.
- Assist in external audits and due diligence processes.
Other Duties:
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the finance function and organizational goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Accounting Technology.
- Minimum of 2-3 years in a related accounting role
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Experienced in SAP accounting system.
