Job Summary:

The Inventory Control Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize inventory and maximize service levels. This role requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record in demand planning, supply chain planning, inventory management, and logistics. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, and will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supply Planning:

  • Develop and implement supply planning strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Create and manage inventory plans based on demand forecasts, sales trends, and product capacities.
  • Collaborate with procurement, fulfillment, and commercial teams to ensure alignment with supply plans and inventory levels.

• Inventory Management:

  • Oversee inventory levels across all locations to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Implement best practices to reduce excess and obsolete stock.

• Demand Forecasting:

  • Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer demand patterns to develop accurate demand forecasts.
  • Work closely with the commercial team to incorporate promotional activities and brand launches into demand forecasts.
  • Adjust supply plans based on changes in demand and market conditions.

• Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of supply planning and inventory management.
  • Utilize data and analytics to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to optimize supply chain operations and reduce costs.

• Reporting and Analysis:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive supply planning and inventory reports for top management.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure targets are met.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate supply chain risks.

• Vendor and Supplier Management:

  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to manage vendor relationships and performance.
  • Negotiate terms and agreements with suppliers to optimize inventory levels and costs.
  • Ensure timely and accurate receipt of goods from suppliers.

• Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of supply planning and inventory professionals.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance skills and capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in any course.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in logistics and warehousing inventory management.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledgeable in SAP, WMS, and Exceed systems.
• Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
