JOB SUMMARY:

The Lead Developer is responsible for the technical leadership, architecture design, and delivery oversight of backend systems. This role ensures scalable, secure, and high-performance server-side solutions while mentoring backend engineers and enforcing engineering standards across projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Lead the design, development, and optimization of backend systems and APIs using Node.js and related technologies. 
2. Define and enforce backend architecture standards, coding practices, and design patterns.
3. Translate business and product requirements into robust technical solutions and system designs.
4. Own backend system performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
5. Conduct and lead code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and technical excellence.
6. Mentor and coach backend developers, providing technical guidance and career development support.
7. Oversee testing strategies, including unit, integration, and performance testing.
8. Collaborate with front-end, DevOps, data, and product teams to ensure seamless system integration.
9. Drive microservices architecture design and evolution.
10.Support deployment strategies and CI/CD pipeline improvements.
11.Coordinate with external consultants and partners on system architecture and delivery.
12.Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5–7 years backend development experience, with at least 1 year in a technical leadership role.
• Expert proficiency in server-side development.
• Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Advanced RESTful API and system integration design.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Solid grasp of security, performance optimization, and scalability concepts.
• Microservices and distributed systems architecture.
• DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Technical leadership and decision-making skills.
